Position SummaryThe Person al Insurance Advisor is responsible for writing and retaining profitable personal insurance accounts by evaluating client needs, developing tailored insurance proposals, and delivering exceptional service. This role focuses on preferred Home, Auto, and Umbrella personal lines accounts and emphasizes comprehensive insurance solutions—combining proper coverage, value, compliance, and superior service.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Identify and qualify prospects by evaluating insurance needs, identifying coverage gaps, and assessing risk exposures.
- Develop and present personalized insurance proposals that address client needs and ensure complete, accurate documentation.
- Educate clients on policy options, coverages, exclusions, and exposures to help them make informed decisions.
- Process documentation and correspondence per agency standards, ensuring accuracy in client records, certificates, cancellations, and .
- Maintain compliance and accuracy by thoroughly documenting all coverage discussions, quotes, and policy changes in the agency management system.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by anticipating client needs, building trust, and maintaining positive relationships with clients, carriers, and colleagues.
- Collaborate with internal and carrier partners to ensure efficient, timely service and a consistent client experience.
- Strong understanding of personal insurance underwriting, coverage, and rate analysis.
- Highly detail‑oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Demonstrates timeliness, efficiency, and reliability in all client and internal interactions.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment while maintaining professionalism and accuracy.

- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Valid Wisconsin Property and Casualty Insurance License required.
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in Personal Lines account management or sales.
- Proficient in office software and technology.
- Experience with an Agency Management System (AMS) preferred.
- Strong understanding of personal insurance products, underwriting, and risk evaluation.
