LOCATION: Franklin, Wisconsin
BASE RATE PER HOUR: $32.95
SHIFT: Night Shift - 12 hour - 2-2-3 Schedule (Work every other weekend)
HOURS: 5:45 PM until 6 AM.
Responsibilities- The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining equipment and facilities to operate in the safest and most productive electro-mechanical condition, supporting continuous improvement, production strategies and plant reliability of snack food equipment and building maintenance.
- Understands and adheres to governmental regulatory programs and policies (examples include National Electrical Code, Environmental Protection Agency, Uniform Building Code, and local government environmental agency policies).
- Practice and comply with all plant and maintenance department safety procedures (including Lock-Out - Tag-Out, Arc Flash and Hot Work Permits).
- Understand the concept of Permit Required Confined Spaces and assist with proper alternate entry of re-classified confined spaces when necessary.
- Follow all applicable good manufacturing practices (GMPs) for the area assigned.
- Maintain and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with OSHA, perform food handling before and after equipment inspection and repair activities.
- Attend classes, seminars, and in-house training as needed to maintain skill level with changes in the industry.
- Assist in making improvements and suggestions to optimize the maintenance program.
- Execute and document planned and unplanned work findings and data during shift via SAP.
- Repair and install parts, tools and equipment; fabricate or modify machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM), inspections, corrective repairs, and special projects/equipment rebuilds.
- Perform execution and resolution of equipment breakdowns/repairs.
- Leverage methodologies such as root cause analysis (RCA), breakdown failure analysis (BDA) and cause maps to identify and resolve equipment issues.
- Utilize predictive maintenance technologies (ultrasound, thermal imaging, oil analysis, vibration analysis) to identify failures and take corrective follow-up actions.
- Document the cause of the failure and work with the maintenance team, planner, supervisor, or other team members to prevent recurrence.
- Understand and interpret technical documents/diagrams (manuals, blueprints, schematics, P&IDs, process diagrams, etc.).
- May perform other duties as required.
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
Experience: Some college or formal technical school education preferred, but not required. Must pass plant specific maintenance test.
