Die Cutter Operator

Position Overview

Quad is seeking Die Cutter Operators for our Franklin, WI location. The position is on the third shift. The Die Cutter Operator efficiently performs set‑up and operates machines that die cut blank and/or pre‑printed stock. Responsibilities include confirming the accuracy and completeness of orders, dies, setup, and installation; managing paper stock and loading and feeding paper; ensuring the effectiveness and accuracy of cutting;

staging completed work according to instructions; and maintaining the work area. Wages start between $17.50 – $19.50 per hour or higher for those with previous die cutter experience.

• 5:00 am – 3:00 pm (Monday – Thursday)
• 9:00 pm – 5:00 am (Sunday – Thursday) – +$0.50 shift premium
• 5:00 am – 5:00 pm (Friday – Sunday) – +$3.00 shift premium (2 positions open)

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and guidelines to support teamwork, safety, contamination control, and efficiency.
• Follow pre‑production, make‑ready, and production run tasks.
• Operate powered equipment.
• Occasionally train workers on die‑cutting machine operations, including feeding and take‑off functions.
• Ensure the work area is clean and that non‑conforming, overruns, and/or waste are delivered to the appropriate repository.
• Cross‑train as assigned.
• Follow and adhere to all personal protective equipment rules and regulations.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

• Ability to perform work‑related math functions (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Accurately read and use measuring devices.
• Experience with hand tools.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Capacity to multitask.
• Can lift 10–15 pounds continuously and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to stand long hours, crouch, kneel, crawl, climb, and use hands and wrists in controlled movements.
• Good verbal and written comprehension with ability to follow instructions.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.

• Experience with Bobst 106 Expertcut, Spanthera, and Vision Cut die‑cut machinery.
• Some supervisory experience is a plus.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

The actual rate of pay offered will vary based on education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include overtime and shift differentials.
