Assistant Golf Professional

Overview

Kestrel Ridge Golf Course is an increasingly popular public facility in Columbus Wisconsin just a few minutes outside of the Madison and Sun Prairie area. The property includes an 18-hole championship golf course, driving range and short game practice facility. A successful Assistant Professional is looking to progress and take part in a variety of aspects within the business. Although the listing is for a year-round position, we would be willing to discuss a seasonal position with the right candidate.

• Experience with in the golf industry is a plus but not required.
• Word, Excel, and email communication experience
• Looking for individuals that are dependable, outgoing with a strong work ethic, detailed oriented, organized and strong communication skills.

• POS and Tee Sheet Management.
• Communication with guests, other staff members, and management.
• Follow established opening and closing responsibilities.
• Assist with Leagues, Member Events and Outings.
• Assist with inventory management, outside service supervision, golf car management.
• Management of on-course play - Pace of play and overall course experience.
• Customer Service - Provide exceptional customer service to guests. This will include booking tee times, answering questions about golf course activities, assisting in golf shop merchandise concessions, answering phone calls, and making reservations.
• Instruction - Assist the Head Golf Professional with junior programs and other group lessons. Based on teaching experience there is an opportunity for individual lesson income.
• Be able to work around the demands of the business starting as early as 5:00 am for opening hours and staying as late as 9:00 pm for closing shifts. The right candidate s must be able to work mornings, weekends, and holidays.
