Position SummaryFraser Eye Care Center is a thriving medical practice dedicated to providing high‑quality state‑of‑the‑art ophthalmology services to our community. We are committed to excellence in patient care, and our team of professionals works together to ensure a positive experience for our patients. We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for our patients and plays a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our patients.

- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Register new patients and update existing patient information in our practice management system.
- Verify patient insurance information.
- Answer phone calls in a high‑volume call center, triage, route calls to appropriate staff, schedule appointments, and take messages when necessary.
- Contact patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.
- Process patient payments accurately and provide receipts.
- Balance payments received at the end of each day.
- Manage incoming patient referrals and requests for medical records.
- Run daily and weekly reports.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
- Always ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.
- Assist patients with inquiries, forms, and any other administrative support they may need.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or medical office training is a plus.
- 1‑2 years of previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR), scheduling software, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time while performing front desk duties.
- Willing to rotate between the front desk and call center.
- Reliable transportation to be able to work at multiple Fraser Eye Care Center office locations.
