The project manager oversees refits and new build projects and is acting as the owner’s technical expert and representative. He/she will provide the owner with technical advice, assist in the negotiation and provide with regular feedback to the owner and FY technical manager. The Project Manager ensures compliance of the project with all the elements of the contract, technical specifications, progress, and the quality control of the works on board.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Act as the owner’s representative for new build or refit projects, liaising with shipyards, designers, contractors, and classification societies.
  • Monitor progress and ensure compliance with contractual specifications, industry regulations, and quality standards. Oversee and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project alignment. Drive the project management team for the project : interior project manager, project engineer, project surveyor, consultant and experts.
  • Regularly report to clients on project status, risks, and milestones.
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality control assessments.
  • Manage changes in project scope, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Attend FAT, HAT, SAT, lead delivery procedures, and final acceptance processes.
Skills/Requirements
  • Proven experience in project management within the yachting or maritime sector (minimum 5 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of superyacht construction, engineering systems, and regulatory compliance.
  • Degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering , or a related field is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
