Standex Engraving Mold‑Tech creates custom textures on tooling to enhance the beauty and function of a wide range of consumer goods and automotive products. Our solutions address all of the textured surfaces in vehicles, from instrument panels to headlamps designed for glare reduction and trunk interiors built to withstand scratches. We also provide textures to reinforce packaging, improve the performance of building products, protect handheld electronics and emboss materials such as paper, leather and various textiles.

The Production Supervisor manages the manufacturing department, planning and directing daily production activities to ensure efficient, safe, and high‑quality output. This role supervises a team of full‑time employees per shift, exercises independent judgment in operational decisions, and has significant input in hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions, ensuring that automotive Class A soft trim parts are produced efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
This role is essential during plant startup and throughout ongoing production, requiring a dependable leader who is dedicated to supporting the team’s success and maintains a consistently positive attitude.
- Supervise and direct work machine operators and production staff, ensuring readiness for plant startup and smooth transition to full production.
- Ensure strict adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
- Monitor machinery performance and coordinate with maintenance to resolve issues quickly, minimizing downtime.
- Enforce safety procedures and promote continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of reliability and positivity.
- Maintain accurate shift reports and documentation, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Assist in training employees in machine operation, setup, and safety, emphasizing dependability and positive work habits.
- Lead by example, demonstrating commitment and a positive attitude in all interactions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
- 3+ years’ of supervisory experience in automotive soft trim, press lamination, edge‑folding, plastic injection molding or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Proven dependability and commitment to team and production goals.
- Strong understanding of soft trim lamination and edge folding processes as well as injection molding.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and change and willingness to constantly learn and adapt.
- Strong personal growth mindset.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.
- Demonstrated positive work attitude and ability to motivate staff.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC), poka‑yoke, or process documentation.
- Certification or training in injection molding equipment, mechanical aptitude, or forklift operation.
- Familiarity with automotive PPAP, APQP, or ISO/TS quality requirements.
