Junior Estimator (Structural Metalworks) – Aberdeen, Scotland

£35,000 – £45,000 + Training + Progression + Pension Match

We are a leading oil rig repair company with over one hundred years of history, seeking a Junior Estimator to join our highly skilled Structural Metalworks/Piping team. The role is primarily office‑based with occasional onshore or offshore site visits, and offers scalable career progression, industry‑leading on‑the‑job training, and development.

• Perform estimations for a variety of oil rig repairs both onshore and offshore.
• Review customer enquiries, CAD drawings and technical specifications to produce detailed cost estimates, tenders and quotations.
• Request and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations, maintain pricing databases and estimation records.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to confirm manufacturability and liaise directly with customers regarding technical and commercial queries.

• Previous estimation experience.
• Background in Construction/Structural Metalworks or Piping.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD data.
• Strong organisational, communicational and analytical skills.

• Prior welding experience.
• Experience with MIG or TIG welding processes.
• Knowledge of fabrication and steelwork.
