Overview

Are you looking for a rewarding new part-time job for 2026 that will give you the chance to shine? We’re looking for new part-time team members to join our #Team School Park  in Strichen on a permanent basis (16, 20, 25 or 30 hours per week).

As a Support Practitioner, you’ll be part of a fun, friendly team who supports five amazing individuals with profound learning disabilities and complex needs to live in their shared home. No two days are the same, and you’ll help with day-to-day needs including administering medication, physio activities, moving and assisting, personal care, appointments and housework. Some individuals also enjoy activities in the community, such as walks, wheelchair bikes, bingo, swimming, and snoozelin.

Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with day-to-day needs, including personal care and daily routines
  • Administer medication and support physio activities
  • Assist with moving and handling, and attending appointments
  • Support housework and household management
  • Support individuals in community activities and daily living opportunities
About You

You don’t need previous experience to start your career with us; we recruit on values. We’ll pay you for your training and give you the practical skills you’ll need. We’ll even fund your SVQ (SCQF level 6/7) qualification and SSSC yearly registration fees too.

If you don’t live in Strichen and are not a driver, you’ll need to be mindful of the location of our service and be confident that you can travel for shifts as there are limited public transport links that fit with our shift patterns.

Shift Patterns

We have various contracts available, including weekend-only contracts. Shifts usually fall between  hours and waking nights  hours). Weekends and public holidays are worked on a rotational basis. Waking nights are paid at the normal hourly rate plus an additional £20 for every waking night worked.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and work towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with support from our Training Academy. If you’re successful in joining our team, you will need to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.
