BRHZ - Companion​/Befriender

8 hours per week (inclusive of 1 hour travel to and from the workplace)

28-year-old male with Asperger syndrome requires a PA for 8 hours a week, preferably a Wednesday. Requires a very chatty person, especially one who can fill in the gaps of the conversation and who likes to laugh about things.

My son is quite withdrawn and requires someone who wants to bring out the best in him. Likes to go for walks in the woods, the shops and for something to eat. Likes gaming and zombie programs but is open to other activities with encouragement and hopefully applicants can have their own ideas for activities too.

Applicants need to use their own car to transport my son to and from activities out with the home. Business insurance is required and there is a fuel allowance of 0.55p a mile for using the successful applicant’s car for driving my son (mileage is limited).
