Floating Production Shift Manager

We are a group of companies comprising Nor-Sea Foods Ltd, Nolans Seafoods UK Ltd and International Fish Canners Ltd, with sites located in Fraserburgh and Aberdeen. We produce a range of quality fish products, primarily under private label, for a worldwide customer base, trading principally in pelagic species including mackerel, herring and sprats.

We are currently recruiting for a Floating Production Shift Manager who will be predominantly based at our Fraserburgh site to provide cover for both of our factories there.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a forward-thinking approach and a proven track record in a similar role, preferably within the chilled food industry.

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Achieving daily production targets
• Monitoring yields, performance, waste and other key production KPIs
• Controlling incoming and outgoing raw materials
• Managing labour utilisation and efficiency
• Ensuring health and safety compliance
• Supervising, developing and supporting production teams
• Liaising with Factory / Technical Managers to ensure systems and practices meet quality criteria.
• Leading daily meetings with key staff, engineering and technical teams as required

The successful candidate must be able to work a variety of shifts which could include day shift, back shift and night shift as needed, as well as participate in a weekend cover rota when required.

Occasional travel to Aberdeen may be required to provide support and cover to our factories there based on operational demand.
