Position: Hospitalist Neurologist

Location: Frederick, Maryland

A well-regarded healthcare organization in Frederick, Maryland , is seeking a Hospitalist Neurologist to join its dynamic inpatient neurology team.

Position Overview:

The Hospitalist Neurologist will provide comprehensive inpatient neurological care, including consultations, stroke management, and acute neurological evaluations. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to hospitalized patients while maintaining close coordination with emergency medicine, internal medicine, and critical care teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inpatient neurological consultations and follow-up evaluations.

• Diagnose and manage acute neurological conditions, including stroke, seizures, and neuro-critical cases.

• Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and nursing staff to optimize patient care and outcomes.

• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and quality improvement initiatives.

• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Provide on-call coverage on a shared rotational basis, ensuring continuous patient care.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Neurology.

• Active Maryland medical license (or eligibility to obtain).

• Prior inpatient or hospitalist neurology experience preferred; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

• Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
