The Goddard School®, located in The Villages of Urbana, is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher for our 2's Classroom. We prioritize our teachers because they prioritize our students. Join us in creating a nurturing environment and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum.

• Curriculum and Instruction:
  Implement age-appropriate lesson plans, foster a love of learning through creative methods, assess and adjust activities based on children's development.
• Classroom Management:
  Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment, manage daily routines and transitions smoothly, address behavioral issues with positive guidance.
• Family Communication:
  Maintain open communication with parents about their child's progress, conduct parent-teacher conferences and encourage family involvement.
• Health and Safety:
  Ensure classroom cleanliness and adhere to safety guidelines, supervise children during activities.
• Professional Development:
  Participate in training opportunities and collaborate with staff.

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
