Job SummaryJob Responsibilities
- Develop and support quality systems and product quality improvements.
- Create and implement quality plans translating customer requirements into actions.
- Work independently, providing technical training and mentorship to junior staff.
- Analyze program requirements and prepare quality plans, procedures, and schedules.
- Review engineering/test documentation to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Support internal audits and corrective actions.
- Lead quality improvement teams, Material Review Boards, and participate in Failure Review Boards.
- Manage non-conforming materials.
- Support assembly, testing, and inspection personnel with quality initiatives.
- Resolve customer quality issues and drive corrective actions.
- Develop SPC initiatives and analyze project data.
- Communicate effectively with team and customers.
- Assist in supplier evaluations and continuous improvement processes.
- Lead customer quality programs.
- Generate statistical reports and recommend actions.
- Establish programs to evaluate equipment and testing accuracy.
- Consider financial impacts of quality processes.
- Support organizational culture and values.
- Participate in meetings and prepare reports.
- Mentor junior engineers and report progress.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, with at least 2 years of experience.
- Technical expertise in relevant domain and application of ISO, Six Sigma, statistics.
- Preferred: ASQ certification or Black Belt.
- Ability to interpret military specifications and blueprints.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
U.S. Citizenship and active DOD security clearance or ability to obtain one required.
