Job Summary Supports and is responsible for incorporating into job performance the Frederick Health (FH) mission, vision, core values and customer service philosophy and adheres to the FH Compliance Program, including following all regulatory requirements and the FH Standards of Behavior.

Essential Functions

• Assess organization's market competitiveness and develop competitive, fair and equitable salaries and ranges.
• Assist in drafting and updating job descriptions including verification of FLSA status and validity of job requirements.
• Responsible for day‑to‑day administration of retirement benefit offerings including 403(b), 457(b) plans.
• Participate in various salary surveys and use data to assist in design and administration of organizational compensation programs.
• Develop market adjustment budget proposal to present to Senior Leadership and Finance with market adjustment review as well as external factors if necessary.
• Lead the planning and execution of annual incentive and compensation adjustment programs.

Required Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of FLSA classification rules, wage and hour regulations.
• Knowledge of pay structures and salary bands (design, implementation and market movement adjustments).
• Knowledge of ERISA compliance, fiduciary rules, IRS & DOL regulations.
• Experience with nondiscrimination testing and annual plan reporting (5500).
• Experience with Excel (VLookup, pivot tables, etc.).
• Experience with HRIS platforms (UKG preferred).

Minimum Education, Training, and Experience Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or equivalent field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation.

Physical Demands Sedentary - Light Work. Lifting up to 15 pounds on an infrequent basis (less than one lift every three minutes). While work is mostly done sitting, a certain amount of walking or standing is often necessary.

Pay is based on experience, skills and education. If position is part‑time, salary will be pro‑rated based on scheduled hours. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.
