Non-exempt (compensatory and/or overtime eligible); full-time; 40 hours per week; varied schedule (shift differential and premium pay eligible); full benefits

The entry-level Recruit opportunity provides consideration for individuals who have no prior experience or certification in the field.

This sworn professional position provides a full range of law enforcement services to Frederick County through community oriented and team management approaches. General supervision is provided through the chain

• Minimum age 21 years
• U.S.A. citizenship
• High school graduation or the equivalent
• Current Law Enforcement certification by the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commission (MPCTC) or a comparable certification from a State outside of Maryland
• Possession of a valid driver's license with the ability to obtain and maintain a Frederick County employee driving permit
