Senior Cloud Engineer
Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is searching for a senior cloud engineer for an opportunity with one of our premier clients in Oshkosh, WI.
Responsibilities- Drive profitable cloud adoption while innovating and consuming cloud‑based services across the enterprise.
- Ensure the security of the cloud environment by implementing security controls, threat protection, and managing identity and access.
- Handle data feeds and integration processes to ensure seamless data exchange between systems.
- Assess innovation and vendor alignment for continuous build‑out and scaling of the cloud ecosystem.
- Provide infrastructure support to ensure operational excellence, issue resolution, disaster recovery, and data backup standards are defined.
- Provide day‑to‑day operational support of the Microsoft Azure Gov Cloud ecosystem, ensuring installations, configuration, deployments, integrations, updates, and administration are streamlined using Azure Kubernetes, Terraform Enterprise, Git Hub, and equivalent tools.
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of public and private clouds, IaaS, data security standards, system messaging, and data feeds.
- Conduct triage and resolution of cloud ecosystem issues and outages.
- Act as an active member of project teams following senior leadership design and project plans.
- Collaborate across teams to coordinate efforts for server, storage, support, database, security, and other functions.
- Learn and adopt new technologies and best practices across cloud, continuous integration, automation, and process improvement.
- Continuously monitor and analyze cloud ecosystem performance.
- Possess advanced knowledge in one of the primary cloud ecosystems (database, virtualization, containerization, Dev Ops, networking, servers, scripting, etc.).
- Coordinate efforts for database, applications, and infrastructure activities across cross‑functional teams.
- Apply intimate knowledge of the ITIL process, ticket resolution, and stakeholder response.
- Design, implement, and operate complex solutions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Four (4) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, scripting, deployment, integration, messaging, automation, and orchestration.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving, time management, teamwork, detail orientation, and customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
