Piper Companies is seeking a Manager of Technical Solutions to lead digital transformation initiatives that enhance customer, partner, and community experiences. As a leader in term life insurance, we’re innovating through technology to help American families secure their financial futures.

Role Overview

This position drives the design and implementation of advanced digital platforms aligned with business strategy. Responsibilities include engineering and QA leadership, agile delivery, and reducing technical debt while fostering scalable, future‑ready systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement Horizon and other platforms using microservices, cloud, AI/ML, and Dev Ops for secure, high‑performing solutions.
  • Guide scrum teams to deliver quality, scalable solutions and promote continuous improvement.
  • Ensure architectural consistency, best practices, and risk mitigation across projects.
  • Lead design reviews, code quality, and technical decisions.
  • Build and mentor a diverse, high‑performing engineering and QA team.
  • Drive process improvements and explore emerging technologies.
  • Align technology with business goals through joint roadmaps.
  • Partner with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and PMO for cohesive implementations.
  • Prevent and resolve technical debt across platforms.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years leading complex tech initiatives (digital transformation, cloud, AI/ML, microservices).
  • 2+ years in people management preferred.
  • Expertise in SDLC, Agile, Dev Ops, and risk management.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary Range: $125,000 - $160,000 annually
