Schedule:
Full Time (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) Availability for after-hours and weekend work may be required as business needs arise.
FPCA is seeking a hands‑on IT Support Network Engineer to be the custodian of our network infrastructure. This is an expert-level, primarily network-focused role, supporting Cisco Meraki environments, wired and wireless networks, routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. While your primary focus is networking, you will also support IT systems, applications, and end‑user helpdesk tasks under the guidance of the IT Director.
This role is not a leadership position—all major systems decisions are directed by the IT Director.
- Install, test, and document network drops, patch cables, and ports; maintain network diagrams and documentation.
- Design, configure, and maintain network infrastructure; monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN performance.
- Perform routine maintenance, firmware updates, security patches, backups, and cable management.
- Implement VLANs, VPNs, QoS, and firewall rules under IT Director supervision.
- Provide backup helpdesk support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
- Assist with Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), email (Google Mail/G Suite, Microsoft 365), and critical applications including security, alarm, telephony (Ring Central), and healthcare software (experience preferred but on the job training is available).
- Support scripting/automation using Power Shell, batch files, or VBA (preferred but not required) under IT Director guidance.
- 10+ years of IT experience with expert-level network skills (required).
- Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and wireless networking.
- Cisco Meraki experience required.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
- Certifications like CompTIA Network+, Security+, CCNA, or CCNP preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license and active auto insurance required.
- Mobility within the workplace and offsite supported locations required.
- Must be able to sit and use hands to handle and feel for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Access to a personal vehicle required for travel between supported sites.
- Routine work includes clinics, offices, and remote support.
- Occasional work in or near drywall, fiberglass, attics, and crawlspaces.
