CDIT Solutions IS seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Solaris & Linux System Administrator to join an IT infrastructure team supporting a federal customerenvironment. The ideal candidate brings strong experience managing enterprise

Solaris and Linux environments, with hands‑on expertise across storage, backup,security, and patching systems.

This role requires practical knowledge of the Solaris operating system, IBM Enterprise Storage, Veritas Net Backup, and vulnerability management tooling, as well as asolid grasp of system hardening and package management disciplines.

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Solaris and Linux systems in a production environment.
• Manage and support IBM Enterprise Storage solutions toensure high availability and performance.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Veritas Net Backupfor enterprise backup and recovery operations.
• Perform system patching and package management usingYUM repositories.
• Execute and remediate vulnerability scans using Nessusto maintain compliance with security standards.
• Support and maintain STE/STIN processes and environments per organizational standards.
• Implement and maintain system security configurations,including NSF frameworks and policies.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on infrastructure upgrades, audits, and incident response.
• Maintain documentation for system configurations,procedures, and compliance requirements.

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph(FSP).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3+ years of hands‑on Solaris System Administrationexperience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on System Administration experience(OLVM, RHEL, CentOS, or similar).
• Experience with IBM Enterprise Storage systems.
• Strong knowledge of Veritas Net Backup administration.
• Experience with Nessus vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows.
• Proficiency with YUM package management and patchingstrategies.
• Familiarity with STE/STIN processes and NSF-relatedsecurity frameworks.
• Solid understanding of Linux security, system hardening, and compliance practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and scripting skills (Bash,Python, or similar).

• Experience in enterprise environments with high availability and disaster recovery requirements.
• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, orsimilar).
• Exposure to cloud or hybrid infrastructure environments.
