Position: Freelance In-Person Interpreter – All Languages | Frederick County / Carroll County, MD

We're Hiring:
Freelance In-Person Interpreters
- All Languages

Ad Astra is expanding its network of qualified in-person interpreters across all languages to support interpreting assignments throughout Frederick County and Carroll County, Maryland.

Job Type: Contract / Freelance

Work Location:

In person
- Frederick County / Carroll County, MD

Qualifications
  • Full professional proficiency in English and at least one additional language
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to provide accurate, impartial, and culturally appropriate interpretation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and able to attend in-person assignments throughout Frederick County and Carroll County
  • Legal interpretation experience is strongly preferred
  • Candidates without legal interpretation experience must be willing to complete the required training before accepting assignments

  • Background check & drug screening required
  • Proof of required immunization records must be provided before accepting in-person assignments, including:

  • Varicella (Chickenpox)
  • Influenza (completed per flu season)
  • Hepatitis B
  • TB screening
