The Frederick County Division of Housing is a growing organization committed to innovative and creative approaches to providing affordable housing in our community. Our mission is to assist in the provision of affordable housing for Frederick County residents with an emphasis on special needs populations, senior persons with disabilities, and low to income workforce households. Exempt; full-time; 40 hours per week;
Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m.

- 4:30 p.m.; full benefits.

This professional position is responsible for planning, directing, and managing affordable housing developments undertaken by the Frederick County Division of Housing and its developer partners, as well as overseeing development, redevelopment, and preservation policies and programs resulting from the Housing Strategic Plan. The position requires maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including county divisions, regulatory agencies, developers, consultants, and contractors. With a high level of autonomy, the individual must exercise sound judgment while providing regular updates to the Division Director, ensuring strategic planning, regulatory compliance, partnership management, and project execution aligned with affordable housing initiatives.

Supervision is received from the Department Head-Community Programs.

NOTE:

The upper pay range reflects possible wage rates for internal County transfers and promotions, which are calculated per County policy. For external hires, offers are made at the base wage rate, with exception.
