JOB SUMMARYThe Engineering Test Technician works closely with Manufacturing and Engineers to support and improve manufacturing operations. This includes troubleshooting products, electronic assemblies, equipment and process issues, performing acceptance testing, documenting fixtures, equipment maintenance, and updating process documentation. The Engineering Test Technician will also assist Manufacturing and Engineers with projects through building or procuring test equipment and performing testing, including process validations.
COMPENSATIONRANGE
$34.00 - $44.00 / Hour
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Inspect products and processes for flaws and identifies areas of improvement.
- Assist in product design, development, and production.
- Sets up, calibrates, and de-bug test set ups.
- Assist with test fixture development and documentation.
- Assist in failure analysis, troubleshooting, rework/repair of non-conforming manufactured product to determine root cause.
- Responsible for setting up, checking, and correcting operational and experimental electrical machinery, circuitry, and equipment while adhering to pre-established guidelines and engineering specifications.
- Maintain proper records related to product development and release.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Promote and support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing.
- Associate degree in electrical or computer Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in an electronics manufacturing environment/ Equivalent military experience OR Combination of education and experience.
- Microsoft Office:
Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. - Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within electronic assembly field.
- Highly skilled with use of common hand tools and internal specialized tooling and fixtures.
- Capable to translate use of tooling to design concept and developing fixture design.
- Expertise with various test instruments, including power supplies, voltage and current meters, PNA, VNA.
- Well-versed in using document forms including assembly, ICD, ATP, MI, schematics.
- Understand product specifications and applications.
- Experience with high voltage DC or 3-Phase AC power systems.
