EDCO, a leading manufacturer in Frederick, MD is looking for an experienced machinist to join our team.
The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm.
Good attendance is paramount to being successful in this role.
Salary Range: $22.25 - $27.19 Per Hour

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepares raw bar stock and tubing for use in equipment parts.
- Program, set up and run a Proto TRAK-DPMRX2 or similar CNC mill
- Engineer setups on machines
- Deburr parts on vertical sander
- Push carts of raw material to proper shelf and unload
- Operate manual mill
- Operate stationary drill press
- Other duties as assigned
Incumbent shall have a High School diploma and a minimum two years of prior relevant work experience or
vocational training.
PREFERRED SKILLS- Ability to read tape measure, micrometer and combination square
- Ability to interpret layout drawings
- Basic shop math skills and the ability to read parts prints
- Ability to mill, drill and sand
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours per day
- Routine bending and squatting to get parts off pallets and return finished parts to pallet
- Occasional driving of stand-up or sit down forklift
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to work around moving machines, equipment
- Ability to use hands and arms (reach above head when necessary)
- Strong work ethic
- Good attendance/punctuality
- Ability to talk, hear frequently
- Ability to walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, etc.
