Job Description & How to Apply Below
Company Description

Aurora Primary Healthcare LLC (DBA Aurora Health Services) is a veteran-focused medical practice founded in 2016 and dedicated to serving veterans with professionalism, compassion, and respect. The practice partners with the VA to provide Compensation & Pension (C&P) examinations and diagnostic services for referred veterans.

As a growing team of about 10–12 employees, Aurora Primary Healthcare emphasizes personalized attention, clear communication, timely service, and a patient-centered experience. The organization values the significance of every appointment and is committed to making the evaluation process as smooth and supportive as possible for the veterans it serves.

Role Description

We are currently hiring qualified, energetic and professional healthcare providers to perform one time compensation and pension evaluations for veterans. This is an evaluation-only role: no treatment or prescribing is involved.

Each evaluation consists of a review of the veteran’s subjective complaints (history) followed by the examination itself. Providers are guided through each exam with virtual templates (worksheets) on a secure website. You'll complete the questions, review diagnostics, and submit your findings.

This is a part-time, on-site, 1099 contract position in Frederick, MD, centrally located between Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. Providers work at least 3–4 days per week in-office and have flexibility in building their own schedule and deciding how much they earn. Each new provider completes a one-time orientation before scheduling exams, plus a brief online certification module. You have access to highly-trained staff who work to provide continuous support and guidance.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of experience
  • Medical Doctor, Physician Assistant, or Nurse Practitioner qualified to perform the evaluations described above
  • Physician Assistants must have a collaborative agreement
  • Availability to work on-site in Frederick, Maryland, at least 3–4 part-time days per week
  • Ability to review medical histories, conduct examinations, review diagnostic results, and accurately complete evaluation documentation
  • Professional communication skills and a respectful approach to working with veterans
  • Willingness to work as a 1099 independent contractor
