American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry/PCU position requiring 3+ years of experience and an MD or compact RN license.

• Work in the 4G/Progressive Care Unit (PCU)/Telemetry unit of a hospital setting
• Care for adult and geriatric patients requiring cardiac monitoring and a higher level of observation than Med-Surg
• Common patient populations include CHF, NSTEMI, pre-cardiac catheterization, stroke, pulmonary disorders, diabetes, multi-system disease, and post-surgical patients
• PCU staffing ratio is 1:4 for 12 beds
• Telemetry staffing ratio is typically 1:5, with a maximum of 1:6
• Night shift schedule of 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Rotating weekends and holidays required
• Floating within scope as needed
• Block scheduling is not available

• Active MD or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• CMSRN and PCCN certifications preferred
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital and LTAC experience preferred
• MEDITECH charting experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Proof of residency must match candidate's licensure

• Provide cardiac monitoring and higher-level observation care to adult and geriatric patients
• Facility is a smoke-free environment
• Modules required pre-start, averaging 4-5 hours, completed no later than 1 week prior to start
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No radius rule for this facility; local travelers receive the same rate as travel candidates
• RTO must be submitted with consideration and will be reviewed and approved on a per-case basis
