Laboratory Animal Care Technician

$18.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience:
Full time with benefits within 30 days of hire

We are seeking an Animal Care Technician to join our team! This role focuses on animal care, welfare, production, and recordkeeping. The ideal candidate is passionate about animals, organized, and committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment. We value hardworking, detail-oriented team players with a positive attitude.

This position involves caring for mice and rats in a laboratory setting.

Note: The role may be offered at different levels depending on education and experience, with salary adjustments accordingly. This is a non-exempt role paying $18-20/hour.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts, start times between 6-8am.

Benefits begin the first of the month after hire, and uniforms are provided.

• Feeding, cleaning, and breeding animals following protocol
• Coordinating order details, including selection and packaging
• Maintaining accurate records of animal care activities
• Ensuring sanitation of animal facilities

• Desire to work with animals daily
• Interest in animal development and breeding
• Commitment to a clean and safe work environment
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately
• Availability for weekends/holidays on a rotating basis
• Willingness to work overtime when needed

• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Stand/walk on concrete for at least 2 hours
• Frequently bend, reach, push, pull, squat, and lift
