Principal Scientist – Standardized Organoid Modeling

Key Roles / Responsibilities
  • Initiate, direct, and execute all pre‑clinical scientific research and development strategies.
  • Exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Investigate the feasibility of applying a wide variety of scientific principles to potential inventions, products, and problems.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues with less experience and direct the work of other staff members.
  • Maintain broad knowledge of state‑of‑the‑art principles and theories.
  • Make major contributions to scientific literature and conferences.
  • May act as a spokesperson on corporate research and development and advise top management.
  • May participate in development of patent applications.
  • Interface with various departments and serve as an internal consultant.
  • Be accountable for meeting own target which will impact the discipline.
Basic Qualifications
  • PhD degree from an accredited college or university (CHEA accreditation) – foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency.
  • Minimum 8 years of direct experience in organoid or stem cell biology.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Directed pre‑clinical research efforts of other scientists in organoid or stem cell research.
Job Hazards
  • Exposure to infectious material requiring medical clearance and immunizations.
