Overview

Morrison Living is hiring immediately for part time WAITER/WAITRESS positions at The Lodge at Homewood, 500 Pearson Circle, Frederick, MD 21702. Online applications are accepted only.

Base pay range: $16.50/hr - $17.00/hr.

Schedule:

Full time schedule. Tuesday through Friday, 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm;
Saturdays 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, 12:30 pm to 6:00 pm;
Mondays 10:00 am to 2:00 pm; more details upon interview.

Requirement:
Previous restaurant, hospitality, or healthcare experience is required.

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room; take food and beverages in an efficient manner, following established steps of service.
• Deliver food promptly and professionally; maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards; follow up to assist with additional needs or requests.
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and ingredients; advise guests on food and drink pairings when requested; accommodate reasonable requests and note preferences; be aware of specialized diets and allergens.
• Communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated.
• Exhibit strong communication skills; work well with others; remain flexible and patient with guests and staff.
• Collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures.
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests; maintain sanitation standards.
• Respect confidentiality of personal or medical information as appropriate.
• Address complaints or issues promptly; relay relevant information to the supervisor as needed.
• Ensure the dining room is properly set up before and after service; keep areas clean and neat while meeting sanitation standards.
• Operate equipment as needed, including telephones, beverage machines, and related tools.
• Collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, or healthcare experience is required.
