Piper Companies
Piper Companies is looking for a Downstream Scientist to join a leading biopharmaceutical company located in Frederick, MD.
Responsibilities of the Downstream Scientist include:- Execute and optimize purification processes including chromatography, viral inactivation, filtration, and UF/DF
- Support technology transfer of downstream processes to commercial manufacturing
- Conduct small-scale purification studies for process characterization and optimization
- Analyze experimental data using MVDA tools
- 3–7 years of experience in downstream process development or technology transfer in biologics manufacturing within a cGMP pharma or CDMO environment
- Proficiency in chromatography, viral inactivation, filtration, and UF/DF operations
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline
- Rate Range: $85,000–$120,000+
