Logistics Manager-Last Mile

We are seeking a full-time Logistics Site Manager-Last Mile to lead delivery operations in a fast-paced environment. The Logistics Site Manager is responsible for supporting the overall execution and performance of the operation for a specific location, including staffing, customer relations, performance, and direction of the overall operation.

This position requires a results-oriented, high-energy, dynamic individual in a fast-paced, high-growth delivery network.

• Develop a solid understanding of the business scope.
• Cultivate and sustain a safe environment, high-quality customer delivery, professional driver experience, and a positive culture.
• Delivering in a timely and accurate manner packages to recipients.
• Monitor, verify, communicate, respond to and act upon information generated from packages out for delivery; respond in a timely manner to requests from internal and external sources.
• Follow up on service issues, find solutions and achieve resolution, closing out delivery day.
• Build an operation capable of exceeding KPI’s, increasing volume and producing a profit.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills with all levels of management and staff.
• Manage and develop 3rd party vendors, providing objectives and challenging opportunities to advance the company’s Final Mile efforts.
• Assist in the recruitment and development of staff and Independent Contractors.
• Ensure practices, policies and procedures are enforced and consistently implemented.
• Schedule and participate in negotiations with Vendors, Contractors and Service Providers to secure best value and service standards.
• Actively monitor P&L performance and ensure decisions align with budgetary goals.
• Establish effective communication and relationships with customers to ensure performance measurements and goals are understood and achieved, and capitalize on new business opportunities.
• Drive initiatives that contribute to long-term excellence.
• Ensure compliance with Local, Federal and State legislation pertaining to personnel, equipment, vehicle and building matters.
• Coordinate, resolve, and respond to issues as they pertain to Operations Performance.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned.

• In addition to a robust skillset that includes the ability to work independently, problem-solve and communicate effectively, the ideal candidate will possess:

• 3-5 years of management and leadership experience in an industrial setting.
• Experience with small package pickup and delivery company or a courier service is a must.
• Must be very flexible with shift start times as well as days worked, including holidays.
• Experience with small parcel, receiving, processing, sorting, and shipping operations.
• Ability to train, coach, and mentor warehouse associates and drivers.
• Proven experience in providing high levels of customer service to internal and external customers.
