We invite you to volunteer as a designated driver for The Safe Ride Foundation. As a safe driver, you will help local residents who have had too much to drink get home safely, preventing DUIs, crashes and tragedies before they happen. The program has prevented over 19,000 DUI incidents since 2015 and is a recognized, high‑impact volunteer organization in Frederick County.
Responsibilities- Serve as a designated driver for local residents with impaired driving.
- Ensure the person and their vehicle return home safely.
- Observe and adhere to all safety protocols and state laws.
- Maintain professionalism and provide a supportive, caring environment.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- Reliable vehicle (must have a car).
- Commitment to volunteer at least one evening per week.
- Comfortable with evening shifts and flexible scheduling.
