Municipal Court Administrator/Clerk of the Court

The City of Fredericksburg is currently accepting applications for a full-time Municipal Court Administrator with a Level I or Level II Court Clerk Certification. Under administrative direction of the Municipal Court Judge, this position will manage the administrative and non-judicial functions of a Municipal Court of Record, including supervising non-judicial personnel. The Court Administrator is also the Clerk of the Court and requires specialized knowledge of court processes and procedures to include non-judicial functions, the development and implementation of policy and procedures, budgeting, case-flow management, weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting, responding to public inquiries and records maintenance.

Applicants must consent to and pass a Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Additional requirements include a minimum of three years of municipal court experience, two years of supervisory experience in a court setting, and a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or a combination of experience that equates to the minimum requirements.

A Texas Crime Information Center and National Crime Information Center (TCIC/NCIC) certification must be obtained within 180 days of employment and chosen applicant must maintain Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System Access (TLETS) eligibility.
