Position: Nurse Manager of Surgery OR

Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain a high‑functioning team, provide leadership, direction, and staffing for unit(s) in line with organizational goals.
  • Manage personnel: interview, allocate work, orient & train, develop staff, resolve problems, evaluate performance, recommend personnel actions, motivate employees toward peak performance, and meet productivity targets.
  • Plan, organize, facilitate and direct patient care on the unit around the clock, following internal and external standards.
  • Develop and oversee the departmental scope of services and care.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to nursing specialty and integrate standards of care into unit operations and collaborative care paths.
  • Direct quality improvement processes to assess, improve and maintain patient care quality.
Qualifications
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma (required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
  • At least 1 year of applicable experience (required). 3+ years preferred.
