Staff Accountant

Seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of tax regulations and accounting principles. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws while providing exceptional service to our clients. Will work closely with clients to prepare and review tax returns, and assist in financial statement preparation.

• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses.
• Prepare payroll checks and/or direct deposit for small businesses.
• Assist clients with weekly, monthly, and quarterly payroll filings.
• Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
• Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books for efficient financial management.
• Stay updated on changes in tax legislation laws that may affect client accounts.
• Assist clients in understanding their financial statements and the implications of their tax obligations.
• Manage multiple client accounts effectively while maintaining high standards of service.

• Experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role in accounting or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of technical accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software, including Quick Books, is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex information clearly to clients.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
