Position SummaryThe Superintendent leads daily field operations on large-scale water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for an experienced field leader who can coordinate crews, manage schedules, and mentor employees while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and with ACE’s high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage crews of up to 20 employees and subcontractors, providing direction, coaching, and mentorship.
- Pre-plan project activities with project managers, ensuring effective use of schedules, resources, and materials.
- Oversee equipment needs and availability to keep projects on track.
- Manage subcontractors, ensuring contract compliance and resolving issues.
- Build strong relationships with owners, subcontractors, and partners.
- Monitor expenses and support budget management to meet financial goals.
- Handle project scope changes, assessing impacts on schedule and cost.
- Enforce ACE’s safety-first culture with inspections and compliance checks.
- High school diploma or GED required; seven (7) years of relevant construction experience or equivalent.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide craft workers and engineers.
- Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and subcontractors.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

- Full-time, on active construction sites with exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Routine use of standard construction tools and equipment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, climb stairs/ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands/arms to handle tools and equipment.
