• Obtain quality CT images and perform CT studies.
• Comply with radiation safety guidelines and operate CT equipment safely.
• Perform all necessary computer operations.
• Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner and always identify patients using the proper protocol.
• Prepare the CT scanner and perform quality control tests.
• Assist the radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.
• Review each exam for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all images.
• Demonstrate willingness to assist in additional duties.
• Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients according to policy and procedure.
• Complete and maintain educational requirements.

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology.
• At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist (preferred).
• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.

• American Registry of Radiologic Technology (required).
• AART – CT Technology within 6 months of start.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers through AHA or CPR through American Red Cross.
• American Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred).
• Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology.
