Note:
Eligibility for benefits may vary by location.
- Obtain quality CT images and perform CT studies.
- Comply with radiation safety guidelines and operate CT equipment safely.
- Perform all necessary computer operations.
- Render patient care in a professional and courteous manner and always identify patients using the proper protocol.
- Prepare the CT scanner and perform quality control tests.
- Assist the radiologist in administering medication, contrast agents, performing biopsies and all types of care to patients.
- Review each exam for technical accuracy and identify anatomical orientation on all images.
- Demonstrate willingness to assist in additional duties.
- Maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients according to policy and procedure.
- Complete and maintain educational requirements.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Diagnostic Radiology.
- At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist (preferred).
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
- Responsible for continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology (required).
- AART – CT Technology within 6 months of start.
- BLS for Healthcare Providers through AHA or CPR through American Red Cross.
- American Society of Radiologic Technology (preferred).
- Virginia Society of Radiologic Technology.
