Activities Assistant – Life Enrichment

Setauket, New York.
Employment type:
Full‑time, Part‑time or Per‑diem/PRN.
We are seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and coordinating a wide variety of recreational and educational activities for residents at Morningside Elite Management
, a leading assisted‑living and memory‑care community.

- Assist in planning, coordinating, and evaluating resident activities
- Encourage resident participation in programs and activities
- Escort residents on activities away from the property as assigned
- Assist with registration of residents for trips and programs
- Conduct various activities under the direction of the Life Enrichment Director
- Maintain necessary activity supplies, including outside purchasing when required
- Survey and interview residents to determine interests, talents, and satisfaction
- Observe residents and share relevant information with staff
- Follow departmental budget guidelines
- Attend all required training, in‑service, and staff meetings
- Maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and implementing safe practices
- Demonstrate a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co‑workers
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- An Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
