Activities Assistant – Life Enrichment

Location:

Setauket, New York.

Employment type:

Full‑time, Part‑time or Per‑diem/PRN.

We are seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Life Enrichment Director in designing, creating, initiating, facilitating, and coordinating a wide variety of recreational and educational activities for residents at Morningside Elite Management
, a leading assisted‑living and memory‑care community.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and evaluating resident activities
  • Encourage resident participation in programs and activities
  • Escort residents on activities away from the property as assigned
  • Assist with registration of residents for trips and programs
  • Conduct various activities under the direction of the Life Enrichment Director
  • Maintain necessary activity supplies, including outside purchasing when required
  • Survey and interview residents to determine interests, talents, and satisfaction
  • Observe residents and share relevant information with staff
  • Follow departmental budget guidelines
  • Attend all required training, in‑service, and staff meetings
  • Maintain a safe working environment by preventing accidents, preserving equipment, and implementing safe practices
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co‑workers
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures of Morningside Elite Management
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • An Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two‑year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience/training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
