PositionSummary
The Mobile Medical Vehicle Driver is responsible for safely transporting and operating medical mobile units to and from designated locations, including patient homes and service sites. This role ensures vehicles are operated safely, maintained appropriately, and available for scheduled care delivery. In addition to driving responsibilities, the Driver will support administrative and operational duties as needed. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, flexible, and comfortable supporting a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities Driving & Vehicle Operations- Safely operate medical mobile vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Transport mobile medical units to scheduled service locations, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
- Report mechanical issues, maintenance needs, or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior.
- Assist with vehicle setup and breakdown at service locations when required.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
- Ensure vehicles are properly secured, stocked, and ready for clinical operations.
- Maintain accurate driving logs, mileage records, and inspection documentation as required.
- Support infection control and cleanliness standards related to mobile healthcare operations.
- Assist with administrative duties during downtime or as assigned (e.g., data entry, scheduling support, supply tracking, errands).
- Support clinic or operations staff with general office tasks when needed.
- Communicate effectively with operations leadership regarding schedules, route changes, and service needs.
- Assist with logistics coordination for mobile care operations.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL license preferred.
- Clean driving record required.
- Prior experience driving large vehicles, commercial vehicles, or specialty vehicles preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Comfortable working in a healthcare environment and interacting with staff as needed.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain confidentiality.
