Matern Staffing is hiring a Facility Operations Supervisor for a direct hire position at a busy 24/7 facility in Fredericksburg, VA. The Facility Operations Supervisor ensures smooth shift coverage and coordinates daily activities to keep operations running seamlessly.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong leadership skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You’ll oversee three shifts of staff, manage the check-in and check-out process for individuals using the facility, address day-to-day personnel matters, and interact regularly with volunteers to support the facility’s daily needs.

$18–$20/hr

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm (availability to support other shifts as needed)

What You’ll Do:

• Supervise Control Desk staff across three shifts, ensuring coverage and smooth shift transitions
• Oversee the check-in and check-out process for individuals entering or leaving the facility
• Address 24/7 personnel issues and provide guidance to team members as needed
• Monitor day-to-day desk operations, ensuring quality service and adherence to procedures
• Coordinate schedules and staffing adjustments to maintain consistent coverage
• Serve as a point of contact for volunteers interacting at the Control Desk
• Support a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and clear communication.

What You’ll Need:

• 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a 24/7 operations environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and leadership
• Proven ability to manage schedules, shifts, daily operations, and guest processes
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to address personnel issues calmly and professionally
• Flexibility to adjust hours as needed to support different shifts
