REGISTERED NURSE (RN) - Skilled and Infusion Nurse Needed for PRN and Weekly Infusion at Bright Star Care of Fredericksburg & Springfield

Join Bright Star Care to provide patient-focused nursing with continuity and long-term relationships. We’re seeking an RN to work on a team for weekly/biweekly and PRN infusion. Competency-based orientation is provided.

• Perform care as defined by client’s individual Plan of Care and within the scope of state nurse practice act
• Monitor patient’s condition and notify appropriate personnel of any changes
• Provide services requiring substantial and specialized nursing skill
• Ensure proper maintenance of clinical records in compliance with local, state and federal laws
• Counsel the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs

• Current unrestricted RN license in the State of Virginia
• One (1) year minimum experience working in ICU, Step Down, or ER with wound care, IV insertion, and port access experience
• Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
• Possess exceptional nursing assessment skills; analytical/critical thinker
• Flexible hours based on client population
• Licensed driver with valid automobile insurance
• Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull; lift up to 50 pounds

• Peripheral IV starts/maintenance & IV Infusion Therapy;
  Injection and self-infusion training
• Phlebotomy for adult and pediatric patients
• CVAD knowledge, Port access, Wound Vacs, and PICC line maintenance
