PACU Nurse Manager

RN Manager – PACU | Fredericksburg, Virginia

• Full‑Time, Days (No Weekends) | Permanent Position
• Pay Range: $48.44 – $70.50/hour (based on experience)
• Estimated Annual: $100,755 – $146,640

A respected acute care hospital in the Fredericksburg region is seeking an experienced RN Manager for the Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to oversee operations for the pre‑admission testing, same‑day surgery, PACU, and endoscopy areas. This is an excellent leadership opportunity for an experienced perioperative nurse who values patient‑centered care, staff development, and operational excellence.

The RN Manager will lead a high‑performing perioperative team in a growing regional hospital, ensuring consistent standards of care and supporting a strong culture of safety, teamwork, and compassion.

• Provide 24‑hour management oversight of Pre‑Op, PACU, PAT, and Endoscopy units
• Manage daily operations, schedules, staffing, and patient flow
• Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory standards
• Oversee staff development, performance evaluations, and competency assessments
• Monitor productivity and manage labor and supply costs
  
  Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize surgical throughput
• Lead performance improvement, process optimization, and environment‑of‑care initiatives
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
• Analyze data to support decision‑making and departmental growth strategies

Required:

• Active RN license in Virginia (or Compact state)
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Minimum 2 years of recent perioperative or PACU experience

Preferred:

• BSN required; MSN or advanced degree preferred
• Prior leadership or charge experience in perioperative services
• Current BLS (required); ACLS and PALS (preferred)

• Competitive pay up to $70.50/hr
