Busser work in both the front and the heart of the house and experience the entire operation. They support the dishwashers and cooks to keep stations stocked with sparkling clean dishes, and aid the front staff with bussing tables and keeping the restaurant clean. Busser is a great position for people interested in entering the restaurant industry for the first time.

Position Overview

The primary function of the Busser is supporting Servers by assisting in clearing & cleaning tables in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of a team, communicating clearly and constructively.
• Primarily support Servers by:
• Clearing tables of remaining dishes when guests complete their meal
• Clean & sanitize tables (adhering to current procedures) prior to new guest(s) being seated
• Ensure all dishes used in the dining room are sparkling clean
• Sweep, mop & in some instance, vacuum, dining room floors
• Clean up spills & remove trash
• Clean furniture, fixtures & walls in the dining room & service areas
• Carry dishes to dish room
• Scrape, sort and stack dirty dishes
• Restock clean dishes in the front of house
