Position PurposeTrade Foreman may supervise up to 4 individual crews in all aspects of work. Trade Foreman are expected to perform the work in addition to supervising employees associated with the tasks assigned. The majority of their tasks require physical labor in an outdoor environment on a construction site.
Essential Job Functions- Pipe Installation and Fabrication
:
Proficient in leading mechanical installations with various pipe types such as PVC, copper, ductile iron, and steel, with skills in cutting and fitting pipes using appropriate tools. Capable of installing and securing pipes according to precise specifications and safety standards. - Formwork and Concrete Carpentry
:
Proficient in leading carpentry operations including assembling formwork for concrete structures such as slabs, pads and walls. Skilled in all other aspects of rough carpentry as well as concrete placement. - Blueprint Reading and Interpretation
:
Competent in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings relevant to water/wastewater construction. - Work Segment Pre-Planning
:
Skilled in pre-planning work segments by assessing site conditions, sequencing tasks, and coordinating with other trades to ensure efficient workflow. Capable of identifying equipment, material, and manpower needs in advance, minimizing delays and maximizing productivity. - Team Leadership and Communication
:
Strong leadership abilities to manage and motivate construction crews, coupled with effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
High school diploma or GED preferred with three (3) years of construction experience and at least two (2) years specializing in a trade.
