As a Crew Lead you are responsible for coordinating residential installs of each system efficiently, in a timely and quality manner. Good leadership, communication, and documentation skills while working on the roof are essential.

Essential

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise the entire installation project.
  • Supervise safety on the job.
  • Complete installation on various roof types as well as ground mounts.
  • Supervise quality and efficiency of work performed on site.
  • Communicate with Roof Lead and Branch Manager on any changes needed to be performed.
  • Mount racking, modules, and electrical equipment.
  • Thoroughly and completely fill out job documents.
  • Collect data and photos for each job.
  • Ensure rooftop teamwork improves productivity on project completion.
  • Drive company vehicle to and from jobs safely.
  • Maintain truck tools and material inventory.
  • Supervise fixing and troubleshooting projects.
  • Clean up job site.
  • Perform required travel for extended periods.
  • Maintain a current driver’s license and a clean driving record.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements Education & Certifications
  • High School Graduate or GED.
Experience
  • Minimum 1+ year experience, including at least 6 months leading a crew.
  • Electrical and roof racking experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Good motivation with attention to productivity, detail, and safety.
  • Safe work at heights on ladders and in confined areas.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and push materials and equipment.
  • Willing and able to climb ladders and stairs, work on rooftops, and stay on feet for long periods.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
  • Collaboration in a team environment.
  • Work in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, rain, crawl spaces).
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Valid state driver’s license with clean driving record.

  • Use muscles to lift, push, pull, or carry heavy objects.
  • See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
  • Move two or more limbs together while remaining in place.
  • Use stomach and lower back muscles to support the body for long periods without fatigue.
  • Maintain balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.
  • React quickly with hands, fingers, or feet.
  • While looking forward, see objects or movements that are off to the side.
  • Lift 50+ pounds.
Travel Requirements

Employee is required to travel for business purposes, not including commute to and from work. If required to travel, must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and the ability to drive a personal vehicle to different sites.
