Job Description
We are seeking skilled and motivated Data Center Technicians to support the installation and maintenance of cabling infrastructure in a fast‑paced data center environment. This role involves physical labor and requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure, including server cabinets, cable trays, ladder racks, fiber runners, containment systems, and trunk cables.
- Perform field terminations, labeling, and testing of low‑voltage cabling (coaxial, fiber, Cat5, Cat6).
- Read and interpret blueprints, building documentation, and red‑line drawings.
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the data center.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve project obstacles.
- Provide structured feedback on project progress and suggest process improvements.
- Experience in mechanical, data center, or cabling work (no license required).
- Familiarity with construction site or data center environments.
- Proficiency with basic telecom hand tools.
- Understanding of wiring schemes and cable testing procedures.
- Ability to pull and install various types of low‑voltage cabling.
- Comfortable working on ladders and performing physically demanding tasks.
- Demonstrated experience in data center infrastructure installation is preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to high‑quality workmanship and continuous improvement.
- Fast‑paced data center setting.
- Physical role requiring lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent use of ladders.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fredericksburg, VA.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $18.00 – $25.00/hr.
