Gov First is seeking to hire multiple Electricians (Journeyman Level) to perform and supervise electrical and mechanical maintenance, repair, installation, and replacement tasks for roadway, tunnel, and bridge systems in Northern Virginia & Fredericksburg, VA within the Transportation Operations Division.

• Perform and/or supervise a crew in electrical/mechanical maintenance, repair, installation, and replacement work in substations, medium and low voltage systems, industrial pumps and motors, ventilation systems, drive systems, and roadway lighting.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems, locate faults, recommend corrections, and perform repairs.
• Ensure compliance with local and state electrical and building codes.
• Function as a compliance inspector for roadway lighting repair, installation, specification adherence, and work zone traffic control.
• Coordinate work with project teams and maintain high safety standards during operations.

• Licensed electrician with a certificate of completion from a four- or five-year electrical construction and maintenance apprenticeship program approved by the Virginia Department of Labor and Industry or equivalent four to five years of industrial experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, mechanical equipment, and industrial maintenance.
• Ability to supervise crews and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
