CREW MEMBER II – UTILITIES:
Drainage Crew
Starting Salary: $36,171
Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and physically fit Utility Department Crew Member to join our team. Under direct supervision, you will perform a variety of semi-skilled labor tasks that require physical strength and stamina. This role involves operating various trucks and heavy equipment to support our utility operations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate utility trucks, roll-off trucks, water trucks, and dump trucks for snow and leaf removal.
- Sand icy or oily streets to ensure safety.
- Operate a forklift as needed.
- Assist with water and sewer crew repairs, new installations, and site clean-up.
- Participate in site restoration activities.
- Complete work orders and daily report paperwork accurately.
- Ability to perform a full range of assigned duties with minimal supervision.
- Strong ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Effective communication skills with co-workers, supervisory staff, and customers.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class B Virginia Commercial Driver’s License or obtain one within 6 months of employment.
- Successful completion of criminal background and driving record checks.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks and work in varying weather conditions.
