Happiness Coordinator

Join our dynamic team at Bickford Senior Living as a Happiness Coordinator! The Happiness Coordinator is responsible for all things fun at the Branch, coordinating and providing engaging and purpose‑filled events and activities.

Starting at $21 per hour.

• Full‑time employees eligible for medical, dental, vision, and voluntary products.
• Part‑time employees (29 or fewer hours per week) eligible for voluntary life and voluntary short‑term disability.
• Benefits begin the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment.

• Plan and implement activities in categories such as physical, social, recreational, intellectual/educational, creative, entertainment, and special requests of the residents.
• Conduct/lead activities as needed.
• Develop activities according to residents’ lifestyle choices.
• Invite and/or remind residents to participate.
• Chaperone activities outside the community.
• Operate a Bickford vehicle to transport residents where applicable.
• Train, support and instruct other team members.
• Develop a monthly activity calendar that incorporates activities seven days per week, including evenings and weekends.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement decoration of the community for special events, seasons and holidays.
• Coordinate food needs for scheduled activities with the kitchen.
• Operate activity program within branch budget guidelines.

• High‑school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in recreation or related health‑care field preferred.
• Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist or Activity Director certification required.
• Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel); ability to learn new applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record consistent with insurance carrier guidelines.
