Pay Range

Base pay: $14.00/hr – $18.50/hr your final rate will be based on your skills and experience.

Day in the Life

As a Material Handler you will load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility. You will use hand trucks, forklifts, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and within the main storage facility and satellite facilities. Responsibilities include receiving, unpacking, checking, and storing merchandise; fulfilling requisitions and orders; packing, crating, and shipping products to distribution centers, departments, or assembly lines.

You may operate a forklift and a company vehicle to remote facilities to pick up supplies as needed.

What You’ll Do
  • Receive and enter materials into the warehouse management system.
  • Maintain and execute materials management programs within the warehouse.
  • Document and maintain inventory, ensuring the production area is organized and clean.
  • Keep the warehouse area organized and clean; dispose of trash and transport cardboard to the compactor for recycling.
  • Operate forklifts to receive shipments, stack, and retrieve supplies and materials.
  • Apply knowledge of commonly used warehouse concepts, practices, and procedures under instruction.
  • Operate a company vehicle to retrieve will‑call stock from local suppliers when required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Must Haves
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in variable weather; facilities may not be heated or air‑conditioned.
  • Read and follow spoken and written instructions; make independent decisions based on data and circumstances.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
  • Follow all proper safety protocols and procedures; perform tasks safely.
  • Manage time, adhere to schedules, and maintain work pace.
  • Follow sequencing or order directions for task completion.
  • Communicate with and listen to others; convey or exchange information, including giving and receiving directions.
  • Prior experience in related work required.
  • Current certification in forklift or powered industrial truck operation; valid driver’s license may be required.
Special Considerations
  • Position requires manual dexterity and sustained physical activity.
  • Use up to 10 lbs of force constantly; 10–25 lbs frequently; 20–50 lbs occasionally.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and hold or lift a variety of objects.
  • Work without long sitting; walking throughout warehouse.
  • Handle and move boxes, windows, doors, etc., using techniques such as seizing, holding, and grasping.
  • Use steering wheels for forklifts and trucks; handle tools such as hammers, tin‑snips, pliers, wire cutters.
  • Reach to place, remove products, pull or push arm‑trucks, dollies, carts, and pallet jacks.
  • Read labels in English; see materials and locations; avoid moving vehicles per safety regulations.
  • Hear other vehicles, forklifts, horns, and warning signals; perform manual tasks such as bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing.
  • Depending on location, may need respirator certification.
